African literature, the body of traditional oral and written literatures in Afro-Asiatic and African languages together with works written by Africans in European languages. The main characteristics of African literature include oral tradition, folktales, slave narratives, and the African novel. They can vary from one African nation to the next, as each one has a unique set of values and history.
For me African literature is a kind of literature that tells the African story, literature can be written by Africans themselves or people with origins different from that of Africa.

Egyptian literature traces its beginnings to ancient Egypt and is some of the earliest known literature. Ancient Egyptians were the first to develop written literature, as inscriptions or in collections of papyrus, precursors to the modern book.
For me Egyptian literature is a kind of literature used for a myriad of different reasons, such as to teach, to entertain, and was used prolifically in religious worship
